Zamora

Located in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula, Zamora is strategically situated as a crossroads on the Vía de la Plata, which makes it a place of great historical relevance, as evidenced by the quality of its cultural offerings even with a small number of inhabitants.
Proof of this is the best example of urban Romanesque in the peninsula, with more than twenty buildings belonging to that period. But Zamora does not stop there: presided over by the Duero River and the natural environment that surrounds it, the city boasts a splendid cathedral with its gothic dome, heir to a great medieval legacy with countless stories, legends and characters such as Dª Urraca, King Alfonso VI, the Cid Campeador or the Siege of Zamora and next to them, the Castle of Zamora and the Baltasar Lobo Museum, uniting history and art as a whole.
Zamora artists with international projection of which Baltasar Lobo and Coomonte are an example. Along with them the poets among whom Claudio Rodríguez and León Felipe stand out in a special way. Art in its purest form together with a gastronomic and scenic quality worthy of knowing.
